The regional Children’s Shelter presented an exhibition of modern art “Children are our everything”

The exhibition will also be exhibited in other regional institutions where children live.

Today, June 9, the Children’s Shelter of the Children’s Service of Lviv OVA, located in Lviv, opened the exhibition of modern art “Children are our everything”.

The exhibition presents more than 30 paintings by seven Ukrainian artists from Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Lviv, etc. city of Ukraine. The pictures mostly depict portraits of children. In addition, drawings of children living in the Shelter were added to the exhibition.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Ivan Sobko, the deputy head of the Lviv OVA, Volodymyr Lys, the head of the Children’s Service of LOVA, and Tetyana Plugator, the deputy director of the department for culture, nationalities and religions of LOVA.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 250 children from all over Ukraine have found temporary shelter in the regional shelter. It is our duty, as a rear area, to provide maximum assistance and protection to those who need it. Every child should have the opportunity to receive the education, care and attention they need.

I thank the organizers of the exhibition, as this is a project that, with the help of art, draws attention to the problem of constant support for vulnerable segments of the population and reflects the emotions experienced by the children of the modern Russian-Ukrainian war,” said Ivan Sobko.

The organizer of the exhibition is the art space “Armygera Art” (curator Zoryana Pavlyshyn) with the support of the LOVA Children’s Service.

As Zoryana Pavlyshyn reported, the Shelter was not chosen as a place for the exhibition by chance, because a large number of war children are cared for here. The exhibition is designed to show both the pain and suffering of these children, as well as the joy of the life they lived and will live after the victory.

The exhibition will also be exhibited in other regional institutions where children live.
