Opening of a New School in Sukhovolia: Modernity and Safety

We start the week with good news – another long-term construction project in the Lviv region has officially opened its doors for the education of children today.

According to the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, the construction of a school in Sukhovolia, which can simultaneously accommodate 500 students, was completed last month. “This is very important for the community, as the old school building has long been in an emergency condition: 434 students were forced to study in two shifts, in cramped classrooms that did not meet modern requirements. The construction of the new school began back in 2016, but due to a lack of funding, it was suspended for a long time. The school gradually turned into a long-term construction project. Everything changed when the project became the winner of the competitive selection of the Emergency Credit Program for the Restoration of Ukraine, implemented with the support of the European Investment Bank,” he noted.

Maksym Kozytskyi emphasized that from now on, children in Sukhovolia have a modern, comfortable, and safe school. Bright classrooms, sports and assembly halls, a new dining room, shelters, a football field, playgrounds – everything was thought out to the smallest detail to make education interesting, interactive, and safe.

The total cost of construction amounts to over 220 million hryvnias, of which: more than 181 million UAH were funds from the state budget. “Sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this school a reality – from designers and builders to teachers and villagers who believed and supported. Special thanks to the European Union, partners, and village head Volodymyr Hutnyk for perseverance, initiative, and daily work that helped bring the community’s dream to life,” added the regional head.
