Velyki Mosty Lyceum included in list of 12 institutions to receive state subvention for energy resilience

Velyki Mosty Lyceum has become one of 12 educational institutions in the Lviv region where, in 2026, projects to enhance energy resilience will be implemented using funds from the state education subvention and local co-financing.

In the Lviv region, the allocation of a subvention from the state budget to ensure the energy resilience of educational institutions has been approved. In total, the region will receive UAH 22 million 727 thousand, and together with local co-financing in the amount of UAH 9.2 million, the total value of the projects will be almost UAH 32 million. The decision was taken at a meeting of the working group chaired by Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleksandr Kulepin.

Following the results of the competitive selection, the funds will be directed towards the installation of solar power plants, energy storage systems, inverters and generators in the following 12 educational institutions of the Lviv region:

  • Davydiv Lyceum named after T. H. Shevchenko;
  • Zhovtanets Lyceum;
  • Horodok Educational Complex (NVK) No. 2;
  • Lviv Vocational College of Hotel, Tourism and Restaurant Services;
  • Staryi Sambir General Secondary Education Hub School (OZZSO) No. 1 named after Bohdan Solchanyk;
  • Dobromyl General Secondary Education Hub School (ZSSO) I–III degrees;
  • Sambir Special School “Berehynia”;
  • Nahuievychi Special School;
  • Novoiavorivsk General Secondary Education Institution (ZZSO) No. 1;
  • Krasne General Secondary Education Hub School (OZZSO) No. 1;
  • Velyki Mosty Lyceum;
  • Lopatyn Special School.

«The implementation of these projects will make it possible to ensure the operation of critically important equipment and engineering networks during power outages, to support the functioning of shelters and to create appropriate conditions for safe in-person or blended learning,» emphasised Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleksandr Kulepin.

All work on installing the equipment and putting it into operation must be completed by 15 November 2026, the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional State Administration reported.
