A well-known letter lover will hold a free workshop in Lviv on how to convey character in font

On August 12, at 5:00 p.m., a master class for young people will be held in the design and media space of Pixlab (285 Horodotskyi Street), where they will learn how to convey character using typefaces.

It will be conducted by the famous Ukrainian font designer and letter lover Andriy Shevchenko.

Andrii Shevchenko is a font designer, has been producing them since 2005, the author of the business Ukrainian font Arsenal, as well as Oksana and Bandera. Co-author of city fonts for Mariupol and Dnipro.

The lecture will last approximately 1.5 hours. and will consist of two parts: theoretical and practical. First, the designer will tell what fonts are made of, what they can convey, and the history of their creation. And then, during the practical part, the participants, united in teams, will get a mood and look for 3-4 fonts that correspond to it.

This event will take place within the project [we create together], which is implemented with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) war response program TOGETHER.

For this, there is a special room with all the necessary equipment for recording audio and video content.
