The Junior Achievement Ukraine team held a 2-day training for teachers of the “Company” program in Lviv. 56 teachers from the Lviv and Ternopil regions have completed training and are ready to implement the “Company” entrepreneurship training program in their educational institutions.
During two days, August 30 and 31, teachers were able to familiarize themselves with the methodology of teaching the “Company” course, work in teams on the generation and analysis of their own business ideas, as well as get acquainted with the methodological support of the course and the educational platform. Teachers also tried themselves in the role of students when they worked in teams and on the practical implementation of the course material.
“At these events, we train teachers to teach a course on entrepreneurship. In addition, during the academic year, they are additionally helped by business mentors offered by us, who pass on their entrepreneurial experience to students. Already in practice. Last year, 37 educational institutions from two regions joined the “Company” program, creating 40 student mini-companies. This year, we are planning more than 300 educational institutions from 12 regions. This means large-scale involvement of young people in entrepreneurship training and creation of their own companies. We can proudly say that Junior Achievement Ukraine helps entrepreneurship to move in Ukraine,” says Andriy Turak, Director of Development of JA Ukraine.
A feature of this year’s trainings for teachers is the participation of teachers who have successfully implemented the “Company” course in their educational institutions in the 2022-2023 academic year. Teachers share their experience with colleagues, talk about the specifics of the practical implementation of the curriculum, and also give advice on how best to organize the activities of the educational company.
As a result of the training, each teacher received a certificate of completion of training, as well as many positive emotions from joint work.
As a reminder, from September 2023, 42 educational institutions of the Lviv region will introduce the international entrepreneurship course “Company” into their own curriculum.
