In the Truskavets community, social sector institutions — education, culture, healthcare and social service providers — have strengthened their energy resilience in advance of the winter period and possible power supply disruptions.
Preparation has been under way for a considerable time and has covered several key areas: insulating building facades, equipping facilities with backup generators, appointing staff responsible for actions in emergencies, and developing detailed scenarios for how institutions will operate in the event of prolonged power cuts.
Using Secondary School No. 3 in Truskavets and the Truskavets City Hospital as examples, the community is demonstrating which specific steps have already been implemented and how well local institutions are prepared for winter, possible blackouts and force majeure situations in the energy sector.
