Today, 24 April, the village of Skhidnytsia in the Drohobych district celebrated its 50th anniversary as one of Ukraine’s leading balneological resorts. It attained national status in 1976, which significantly boosted the development of its sanatorium and health infrastructure.
Skhidnytsia has gained recognition as a contemporary European balneological resort, thanks to its unique mineral waters and the Carpathian nature. This potential is particularly crucial for the recovery of thousands of our soldiers, veterans, and civilians, as well as for the process of European integration.
As part of the celebrations, the conference “Skhidnytsia: 50 Years of the Resort” was held, bringing together representatives from government, medical, and tourism sectors. Participants discussed strategic directions for the development of the resort and the formation of its tourism brand.
“This potential needs to be developed. Today Skhidnytsia has everything to be a modern European venue: unique waters, nature, experience, infrastructure,” stated the head of Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyy.
