Organize a traditional Christmas Eve for residents of modular towns

In three modular towns of Lviv, where about a thousand internally displaced Ukrainians live, a traditional Holy Dinner was organized. The resettlers had the opportunity to feast on various Lenten dishes, sing carols and pray for Ukraine.

“This Christmas Eve is special. For all of us, this is an evening of unity through the terrible trials of war, an evening full of hopes and awe-inspiring anticipation of victory. On this evening, we remember and pray for everyone who gave their lives for Ukraine and who defends our country today,” says Volodymyr Holovaty, director of the Center for Social Support of Orphans, Children Deprived of Parental Care, and Internally Displaced Persons.

On the eve of Christmas, immigrants from different parts of Ukraine ate dumplings, borscht, kutya, listened to and sang various carols, prayed together with clergymen who visited all three modular towns. The children liked the dinner the most, as they could feast on delicious dumplings to their heart’s content.

As a reminder, there are 3 modular towns for internally displaced persons in Lviv – in Stryi Park, on Pulyuya Street and on Syhov. In total, about a thousand Ukrainians from Mariupol, Luhansk, Kramatorsk, Kherson and other areas of active hostilities live here.
