A fighter of the special police battalion KORD, Senior Sergeant Taras Levkovych, married his fiancée Viktoria.
For over a year, Taras fulfilled combat tasks in the Donetsk region. During one of the breaks between missions, he met Viktoria on social media, and during his leave, their communication blossomed into a relationship.
In August of last year, during an assault operation, while saving a wounded comrade, Taras was injured by an explosive device and lost parts of both legs. Upon learning of her beloved’s injury, Viktoria immediately came to him — they have been together ever since.
On October 29, on the first anniversary of their meeting, Taras proposed, and Viktoria said “yes”. On February 15 this year, they became husband and wife. The wedding ceremony took place in a Ukrainian style surrounded by family and closest friends. The groom’s best man was a combat medic and comrade known as “Viking”.
