The Lviv region marks the 107th anniversary of the establishment of the West Ukrainian People’s Republic (ZUNR).
On this day, residents of the region honor the memory of the fallen soldiers of the Ukrainian Galician Army (UGA) and the President of the Ukrainian National Council of ZUNR, Yevhen Petrushevych. “This is an important event for our history and national identity,” one of the event organizers noted.
Ceremonial events are held in honor of this date, including the laying of flowers and prayer services. Live broadcasts of the events allow everyone to participate in the commemoration.
