The spirits of the servicemen were cheered up by well-known songs performed by the military orchestra of the National Academy of the Ground Forces.
On the eve of the Air Force Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, solemn events were held in the Lviv region with the participation of the leadership of the Lviv region. Andriy Godyk, the first deputy head of the Lviv OVA, was present at the ceremony.
“It is a great honor for me to be here with you today on the eve of your professional holiday. On your shoulders lies the responsibility of protecting millions of Ukrainians and preserving their homes in all populated areas of Ukraine. It was you who debunked the myth about the invincible army of the Russian Federation and its missile potential and capabilities in the sky. You landed everything that should not have flown over our land. You are admired not only by all Ukrainians, but also by the whole world. Thank you for your daily exploits and tireless work for our victory, which you speed up with your work and give faith in the safe future of our Ukrainian sky. Glory to you and glory to Ukraine!” Andriy Godyk emphasized.
After that, he awarded the head of the Lviv OVA with thanks and valuable gifts for exemplary performance of official duties, a significant personal contribution to the implementation of the country’s air defense, and on the occasion of the holiday of individual servicemen.
“The Air Force is one of the main carriers of the combat potential of the Ukrainian army. Every day, military aviation, anti-aircraft missile and radio engineering troops perform combat missions defending the sky over Ukraine. Hundreds of downed enemy cruise missiles, airplanes, helicopters and other aerial targets of the enemy will never bring grief to Ukrainians. The personnel of our air command made a significant contribution to the victory of the invader. You destroy the occupiers in the air and on the ground, defending our land and people. I thank each of you for your dedicated service to our people and tireless work in the name of victory. By uniting together, we will definitely liberate all our lands from the Russian aggressor!”, Colonel Serhiy Ryabko, acting commander of the “West” air command, addressed the soldiers.
At the end of the festivities, the military orchestra of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny played its most famous hits for all those present.
