In the “Pohulyanka” park in Lviv, artificial lakes were filled with water before the Easter weekend, allowing residents to enjoy nature and observe the first wild ducks that have already settled here. The lake is surrounded by large stones, and there is a path to a small stone island in the middle.
“One of the most beautiful forest parks in Lviv is finally ready for the weekend and awaits visitors. After a long and cold winter, the first wild ducks have already started to gradually arrive at the filled lakes. All this adds a special atmosphere to this place,” say the State Enterprise “Lychakiv Park” of the Lviv Municipal Enterprise “Green Lviv”.
This is an annual meticulous task with the artificial lakes. In autumn, the water is drained from the lakes, and in spring, they are refilled. In this way, the basins are cleaned once a year, repaired if necessary, and the water in the lakes is changed. This is an important step, as the lakes are artificial and the water in them does not self-clean.
Also, in the “Pohulyanka” park, anemones, violets, and other early spring flowers are already in bloom.
