Dubliany to Celebrate 586th Anniversary with Charitable Event

This Sunday, 10 May, the town of Dubliany will be celebrating the 586th anniversary of its first recorded mention. To mark the occasion, the town has planned festivities, a charity fair, and an auction with the proceeds going to support Ukrainian soldiers on the front line. This information was provided by the Office of Agglomeration and Community Development of the Lviv City Council.

Dubliany is renowned for its traditional charitable events, which include volunteer auctions, concerts, workshops, and family entertainment. The official part will commence at 3:00 PM on the stage of the Summer Theatre at 5 Student Street.

Some interesting facts about Dubliany: the first mention dates back to 1440; the town’s name originates from the “Dubliany” tribe. The community’s emblem features the ‘Eye of Providence’ with images of oak trees. The town is also known for its higher education institution — Lviv National University of Nature Management, where Stepan Bandera studied, honoured with a monument.
