Today, August 24, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, the memory of Heroes of all times who died defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine was commemorated at the Lychakiv Cemetery.
The event was attended by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, the first deputy head of the OVA Andriy Godyk, the leadership of the Lviv OVA, representatives of the military and security forces, the delegation of the Luhansk OVA, families of participants in the Russian-Ukrainian war and families of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
The participants of the event placed flowers and lamps at the graves on the Field of Mars, on the field of honorable burials No. 67 and on the field of honorable burials No. 76 of the Lychakiv cemetery. After that, all those present performed the National Anthem of Ukraine.
Subsequently, an ecumenical memorial service was held and a prayer was held for the independence of Ukraine. After that, the company of the honor guard of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny passed through.
