260,000 Hryvnias Raised for Kordon Race in Lviv

A large-scale sports charity event, Kordon Race, took place at Emily Resort in Lviv on 25th April, raising 260,000 hryvnias to support veterans. Around 400 participants took part, including civilians, military personnel, and veterans.

The main aim of the event was to raise funds for the development of Kordon Academy, a veteran-focused educational and sports centre. The programme included obstacle courses, a trail run, and children’s races. A notable feature was the participation of nearly 30 veterans in the Special category, some of whom completed the courses with prosthetics.

The event was accompanied by demonstrations from State Border Guard Service dog trainers, interactive zones, and informational sessions on mine safety.

“Kordon Race is a place where boundaries between people disappear. We weren’t just competing – we are creating a space for veterans to find new meanings after the war,” noted organiser Petro Zhivnych.

Thanks to the efforts of all participants, the event became another step towards supporting veterans. Together – stronger.
