In Malekhiv, during the celebration of the village’s 649th anniversary of the first written mention, a major charity event was held, raising a record 175,000 hryvnias to support fellow villagers defending Ukraine. The results were reported by the Community Office in Malekhiv.
The festive programme was combined with various fundraising formats. A charity fair, fundraising raffles, family activities, workshops, a professional photo shoot and a field kitchen were organised for guests, and a concert took place. Residents from almost the entire community joined in the preparations and took part.
The head of the Community Office in Malekhiv, Nataliia Savochka, stressed that the team is trying to involve as many people as possible in supporting the defenders, using every opportunity during important events for the village.
The head of the Office for Agglomeration and Community Development, Nataliia Alieksieieva, noted that combining the celebration of the first written mention with charity and the opportunity to donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already become a good tradition for the community. She also presented local volunteers with letters of appreciation from the Mayor of Lviv, Andrii Sadovyi, for their constant support of the military.
