Anyone who visits the exhibition “100 Nativity Scenes in the Vatican” will be able to see it
Starting tomorrow, everyone who visits the exhibition “100 Nativity Scenes in the Vatican” will be able to see the unique Yavorivska nativity scene. Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of Lviv OVA, informed about this.
It was created in the Yavorivska toy workshop of Ostap Soyka and Oksana Kogut in accordance with the tradition of making the Yavorivska wooden toy, which was included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine last year. They also made toys for the Christmas tree near the nativity scene.
The demonstration of the creations of our masters in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican was made possible thanks to the Embassy of Ukraine to the Holy See with the support of We and the World, the Kozytsky Charitable Foundation.
“The world is interested in Ukrainian culture and our history. It is important for us to show them to the world,” the head of the region emphasized.
