Significant queues of vehicles exiting Ukraine have been recorded on the Ukrainian-Polish section of the border within Lviv region.
As of now, the following are waiting to leave Ukraine:
- Rava-Ruska checkpoint – around 25 vehicles;
- Krakivets checkpoint – approximately 90 vehicles and 13 buses;
- Shehyni checkpoint – around 55 vehicles.
There is also a build-up of traffic entering Ukraine: at the Krakivets checkpoint – an estimated 60 vehicles, at the Shehyni checkpoint – around 30 vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Ugryniv, Smilnytsia and Nyzhankovychi checkpoints remain relatively uncongested for leaving Ukraine.
Travellers are advised, where possible, to choose less busy checkpoints and to plan border crossings for early morning or late evening hours in order to avoid long waits in queues. Current congestion at checkpoints can be monitored on the Facebook pages of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
