Queues of cars at two Lviv region checkpoints for exit to Poland

Queues of cars have been recorded on the Ukrainian-Polish border within Lviv region for exiting Ukraine through two checkpoints. This concerns traffic heading towards Poland.

According to available information, around 35 cars are waiting to be processed at the Krakivets checkpoint and approximately 55 cars at the Shehyni checkpoint for exit from Ukraine.

No build-up of vehicles or buses is being observed for entry into Ukraine. The Ugryniv, Rava-Ruska, Hrushiv, Smilnytsia and Nyzhankovychi checkpoints currently remain uncongested for exit from Ukraine.

Border guards advise drivers planning to cross the border to choose, where possible, less busy checkpoints, and to schedule their trip for early morning or late evening hours, when queues are usually shorter. Up-to-date information on checkpoint congestion can be monitored on the Facebook pages of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
