On the Ukrainian-Polish border within Lviv region there has been an increase in passenger traffic, which traditionally occurs on the eve of weekends. As a result, queues have formed for exiting Ukraine at a number of crossing points.
As of the time of the report, the following build-up of vehicles on exit has been recorded:
- “Uhryniv” – around 40 cars;
- “Hrushiv” – around 20 cars;
- “Krakivets” – approximately 30 cars and 10 buses;
- “Shehyni” – roughly 55 cars;
- “Smilnytsia” – around 15 cars and 2 buses;
- “Nyzhankovychi” – around 15 cars.
The least busy crossing point for exiting Ukraine at present is “Rava-Ruska”, so border guards advise, where possible, choosing the less congested routes.
No build-up of vehicles or buses on entry into Ukraine has been recorded.
Current information on congestion at crossing points can be monitored on the Facebook page of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
