Queues form at several checkpoints on the Polish border in Lviv region

There is significant congestion of vehicles at certain checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border in Lviv region for both exit from and entry into Ukraine.

On exit from Ukraine, queues have formed in front of the following checkpoints: «Ugryniv» – around 40 cars, «Krakivets» – approximately 50 cars, «Shehyni» – about 55 cars.

On entry into Ukraine, traffic has built up at the «Krakivets» checkpoint – around 40 cars and 2 buses, as well as at the «Shehyni» checkpoint, where around 10 cars are waiting.

At the same time, the checkpoints “Rava-Ruska”, “Hrushiv”, “Smilnytsia” and “Nyzhankovychi” remain relatively uncongested for exit from Ukraine.

Travellers are advised, where possible, to choose less busy checkpoints and to plan their border crossing for early morning or late evening hours to avoid long waits. Up-to-date information on checkpoint congestion can be monitored on the Facebook pages of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
