Queues of vehicles form on the Polish border in Lviv region

A significant build-up of vehicles has been recorded on the Ukrainian-Polish border within Lviv region, a situation traditionally observed before and during weekends.

On exit from Ukraine, queues have formed at the following crossing points:

  • “Uhryniv” – around 100 vehicles;
  • “Rava-Ruska” – 45 vehicles;
  • “Hrushiv” – 35 vehicles;
  • “Krakivets” – 60 vehicles and 4 buses;
  • “Shehyni” – 60 vehicles;
  • “Smilnytsia” – 30 vehicles;
  • “Nyzhankovychi” – 45 vehicles.

There is also a build-up of traffic on entry into Ukraine. At the “Hrushiv” crossing point, 3 buses are waiting; at “Krakivets” – 40 vehicles and 4 buses; at “Shehyni” – 20 vehicles and 3 buses; and at “Nyzhankovychi” – 15 vehicles.

Travellers are advised, where possible, to choose less busy crossing points and to plan their border crossing for early morning or late evening hours, when passenger traffic is usually lighter. Up-to-date information on the workload of crossing points can be monitored on the Facebook pages of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
