On Lychakivska Street near Vynnyky, from 10 July the area of roadworks is being extended: slope reinforcement will begin on another section, so reversible traffic with traffic light control will operate in two locations at once. This was reported by LKP «Lvivavtodor».
The new work section is located on the opposite side of the road, in the direction of exiting Lviv, on the side of the Enzym enterprise. Here the contractor will reinforce the slope and pavements on a stretch approximately 300 metres long. Traffic will be closed alternately on separate segments of this section.
In parallel, repairs are ongoing at the entrance to the city, where around 75% of the planned works have already been completed. On this part of Lychakivska Street, specialists are installing a gabion retaining wall over 100 metres long to reinforce the slope. The distance between the two active repair zones is approximately 500 metres.
To reduce congestion, the temporary traffic lights at both sections have been synchronised. This should ensure a more even flow of traffic in both directions and shorten waiting times. Drivers are asked to take account of the temporary changes to traffic management when planning journeys along this street.
Works to reinforce the slopes on Lychakivska Street, as part of the major overhaul from Bukova Street to the city boundary, began in March. They are being carried out by LLC «Avtomagistral-Pivden» on behalf of LKP «Lvivavtodor». The total length of the sections where slope reinforcement is planned is about 500 metres, and traffic closures are being implemented in stages — in segments of 100–150 metres — to reduce inconvenience for drivers.
