Tourist tax and the most popular locations in Lviv region in July 2026

In July 2026 the municipalities of Lviv region received UAH 8.9 million in tourist tax. Since the beginning of the year, UAH 42.9 million has flowed into local budgets, which is more than UAH 9.6 million, or 29%, higher than in the same period last year. This was reported by the Deputy Director of the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maryana Kuksa.

According to her, the largest tourist tax revenues in July were generated by the Lviv municipality – more than UAH 5.6 million. Next by revenue volume are the Truskavets municipality with more than UAH 1.1 million, Skhidnytsia – over UAH 947,000, Morshyn – almost UAH 162,000 and Sokilnyky – more than UAH 125,000.

The summer season also saw more active visits to tourist attractions in Lviv region. The largest number of visitors in July was recorded by the Skole Beskids National Nature Park – 67,580 visitors. The Tustan nature reserve was visited by 27,390 people, the Drohobychchyna museum – almost 4,000 people, Drohobych Town Hall – 3,450, and the Skolivshchyna museum welcomed 2,715 visitors.

Other popular places for travellers included the Domazhyr bear sanctuary, the Nahuyevychi and Ancient Zvenyhorod reserves, the Yavoriv National Nature Park, as well as the Johan Zeg pharmacy-museum.

“Lviv region remains one of the most attractive regions for domestic tourism. We are seeing sustained interest from travellers in the natural, cultural and historical locations of the region. At the same time, it is important that tourism development should strengthen the economic capacity of municipalities and create new opportunities for local businesses,” said Maryana Kuksa.
