25 Refugees in Lviv to Receive Housing Assistance

The Lviv City Council has resolved to provide assistance to 25 internally displaced persons to address their housing needs. A total of 30 applications were reviewed by the commission, out of which 5 were rejected due to inaccurate data. According to the decision, the refugees will be able to receive a housing voucher worth 2 million UAH to purchase a home or settle a mortgage.

The mechanism has been in place since December last year, resulting in 1,016 applications being accepted so far. Among these, 725 people have received aid, while assistance was denied in 214 cases. Individuals under sanctions, with convictions for certain crimes, those who already own a home, or who have received monetary compensation, cannot qualify for housing assistance.

Vouchers can be used for the purchase of residential property, buying land plots, or repaying a mortgage. Applicants are verified for property ownership, including through the State Register of Rights to Real Estate.
