£58 million from the Lviv Region budget for military needs

In April, over 58 million hryvnias were allocated from the regional budget to support the Ukrainian Defenders of the region. Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, noted that this was made possible thanks to the diligent work of the region’s residents and local businesses, who pay taxes honestly.

The funds have already transformed into tangible support, helping to save the lives of military personnel and aiding in the execution of combat tasks: modern reconnaissance and strike drones, transport to enhance the mobility of units, electronic warfare systems (EWS), shelters, and ground robotic complexes.

Funding will be received by: the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade named after Viktor Pavlenko, the 3rd Border Detachment named after Yevhen Pikus, the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service’s Kynological Centre, the 156th Separate Mechanised Brigade, the Special Operations Centre ‘Omega’ of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the police in the Lviv region.

By the end of May, an additional 200 million hryvnias will be allocated from the regional and local budgets to strengthen the air defence of the Lviv region. “Thank you to everyone on the front line, as well as those working for our economy and supporting the army,” said Kozytskyi.
