The construction of the new overpass at Ryasne is gaining momentum with the completion of an important stage. The contractor has finished laying the reinforced concrete slabs to facilitate the entry of large-scale machinery. This is a step forward in improving the connection between the neighbourhood and the centre of Lviv.
Preparatory work is ongoing at the intersection of T. Shevchenko Street and Fr. Omelyan Kovch Street, where the contractor ‘Onur’ is carrying out engineering preparations on site for future construction solutions. The site is bustling with activity as cranes and workers have laid the main layer of sand and gravel.
The Director of LKP ‘Lvivavtodor’, Mykola Vlasyuk, emphasised the importance of laying slabs to accommodate heavy machinery in the subsequent stages of construction. Plans include developing a secondary overpass featuring three traffic lanes and a cycling-pedestrian zone.
The works under the contract, worth 106.8 million UAH, are being conducted at the order of LKP ‘Lvivavtodor’, utilising credit funds. The project is aimed at assisting in the reconstruction of the overburdened Shevchenko Street.
