According to the information of the Highway Service in the Lviv region, tomorrow, August 15, they will start overhauling the bridge over the Malekhivka River on the Kyiv-Chop highway in Malekhiv. Therefore, starting tomorrow, from 7:00 a.m., traffic on the Eastern entrance to Lviv will be closed. Repair work is planned to be completed at the end of this autumn.
“The repair site will be detoured through the Lviv ring road. There will be another alternative route for passenger vehicles – through the settlements of Dublyany and Velyki Hrybovichi,” said the message of the Road Service in the Lviv region.
According to the information of the LMR transport department, during the repair works, city buses No. 1A and No. 60 will run through the village. Great Mushrooms.
“In order to improve transport connections for residents of the village Malekhiv, we are also studying the possibility of organizing a “traffic break” for route No. 1A in the area of repair works. It is about the fact that one bus will take passengers from Dublyan to the place of repair. Then passengers get off the bus, cross the repair site on foot and board another bus waiting on the opposite side. As reported by the Highway Service in the Lviv region, the reinforced concrete crossing that will be repaired was built back in 1961. After conducting a commission survey, the building was recognized as emergency. Cargo capacity restrictions have been in effect here for several years.
“According to the project, we will expand the structure to 19.2 m and arrange two lanes in one direction. Thanks to the damping system, we will distribute oncoming traffic flows. We will also arrange approaches to the crossing from both sides,” informs the Highway Service of the Lviv Oblast.
