The Nagirne – Dobromyl Road to be Repaired with EU Support

The Nagirne – Dobromyl road will be repaired with EU support. As reported by Yuriy Buchko, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the project has been granted the status of international technical assistance. This means that all procurement for the repairs is exempt from customs duties and VAT, and the funds from partners will go directly towards the quality of the works.

A grant contract for 4.8 million euros (approximately 245 million UAH) has already been signed, and co-financing from the regional budget has also been secured. Tenders are to be held ahead, after which the long-awaited repairs will commence on two sections of the road.

Over 18 kilometres of the road will not only have the asphalt restored, but pavements, pedestrian crossings, modern lighting, and bus stops will also be installed. All this will be done with mandatory consideration of accessibility and traffic safety requirements.

This route is of strategic importance as it leads to the “Nyzhankovychi – Malhowice” and “Smilnytsia – Koroszenko” checkpoints, and also serves as an alternative route to Krakivets and Shehyni. Its renovation will significantly ease and improve border logistics in the Lviv region!
