Drohobych at the beginning of May paid compensations amounting to UAH 1.7 million for concessionary travel by motor transport. These funds were allocated as part of the city’s compensation programme for transporting privilege categories of citizens.
According to the Social Protection Department of Drohobych City Council, the compensations covered 87,287 concessionary journeys on public city buses. The total amount of payments was 1,655,575 hryvnias.
The list of concessionary categories includes: combat veterans, persons with disabilities due to war and their accompanying persons, participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl disaster consequences, military service veterans, and other categories.
