Horodok City Council reallocates funds to support the military and sport

At the 80th extraordinary session of the Horodok City Council, councillors adopted a number of decisions aimed at supporting units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Territorial Defence, as well as developing sport and youth in the community.

As part of amendments to the Programme to support Territorial Defence units and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an updated list of activities and needs of the military was approved. In response to requests from the units, subvention funds totalling UAH 201,000 were reallocated for the purchase of an excavator for one of the military formations. A further UAH 300,000 was directed towards the purchase of vehicles, electronic warfare equipment and UAVs for a military unit.

During the meeting, a newly elected member, Mar’yana Volodymyrivna Kots, joined the council. She was officially welcomed as a new representative on the City Council.

Among other decisions of the session was the updating of activities and financial support under the comprehensive Programme for the development of physical culture and sport for 2026. The document provides for support to the organisation of local competitions, elite sport, as well as funding for the community’s sports clubs.

The councillors also amended the budget of the Horodok City Territorial Community for 2026 in order to ensure funding for priority military and socially important expenditures.

Once all decisions adopted at the 80th extraordinary session have been finalised and signed, they are to be published on the official website of the Horodok City Council.
