The active youth of Drohobych and the students of schools with the beginning of a full-scale invasion do not stand aside from the support and assistance of the Armed Forces. So, on these Christmas days, members of the Children’s Parliament and individual representatives of the Youth Council took part in the “Carol for the Armed Forces” campaign, which was organized by the village of the OUN-UPA Brotherhood.
During the Christmas holidays, young parliamentarians with loud carols and in colorful nativity costumes went around public catering establishments in Drohobych and Truskavets, visited the DDPU named after I.Franka, Drohobytsky center of social services, police department, prosecutor’s office, tax department, fire department and other state institutions. Young people everywhere brought the joyful news of the birth of the Son of God, congratulated and collected funds to support the defenders.
Now, more than ever, it is important to remember Ukrainian traditions. A Christmas carol, a charity, congratulations – they carry a great mission, because this year’s Christmas and New Year holidays are not the same as usual, because we all ask God to fulfill a common desire – Victory, peace and prosperity for our native land, – emphasize the representatives of the Children’s Parliament of Drohobych.
This year, the participants of the Children’s Parliament collected UAH 60,514 with carols and donations. The funds were transferred to the National Volunteer Fund – they will be used for the purchase of an anti-drone device.
Last year, representatives of the Children’s Parliament also performed carols for the Armed Forces and collected UAH 33,000. Then the funds went to repair the car for the soldiers.
In addition, the action “Carol for the Armed Forces” was organized by the youth wing of the Drohobytsk station of the OUN-UPA brotherhood and the “National Volunteer” Charitable Foundation.
