
The Standing Commission of the Lviv Regional Council on Law Enforcement, Anti-Corruption Activities and Military Formations has backed a number of applications from military units for additional funding under the regional programme “Safe Lviv Region” for 2026. The matter was considered on 14 August.
This concerns, in particular, the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles, vehicles and other material and technical equipment for the needs of military units.
During the meeting, commission members also discussed the state of mobilisation readiness and measures to protect the territory of Lviv Region, as well as issues of interaction with law enforcement agencies.
“We discussed the mobilisation process and the protection of the territory of Lviv Region. Separately, we looked in detail at issues of interaction with law enforcement agencies and identified the necessary security measures. The main focus is supporting our military units and coordinating further actions,” noted the chair of the commission, Nazariy Sumalo.
In addition, participants in the meeting decided to delegate the chair of the commission, Nazariy Sumalo, to the working group tasked with developing the Lviv Region Development Strategy for 2028–2034.
