The city of Lviv will re-announce a tender for the construction of a duplicate bridge on Omelyan Kovch Street.
The existing overpass on this street, belonging to Ukrzaliznytsia, is of great importance for the transport connection of the Riasne neighborhood with other districts of Lviv, and also ensures transit to the European border. This bridge was declared emergency in 2008 and requires immediate repair. However, before starting repair work, a new duplicate bridge needs to be built. The city council has already developed a new bridge project and has twice announced tenders, but no candidate submitted an application.
The city continues its efforts to find a company to undertake the construction, and therefore plans to announce the tender for the third time.
