Lviv Recovers 38.5 Million UAH Through Legal Claims

The Lviv City Council has initiated legal proceedings to recover 38.5 million UAH for the city budget. These funds were supposed to be paid by developers as a contribution to the development of the city’s infrastructure but were not transferred. The city council’s lawyers are attempting to recover these amounts through the courts.

Among the cases being considered are the recovery of 1 million 309 thousand UAH from LLC ‘Knyazhy Hall’, 4 million 246 thousand UAH from LLC ‘Lev Art Park’ and I. Markovskovskyi, 1 million 209 thousand UAH from LLC ‘Atrium Estate’, 90 thousand UAH from PJSC ‘Lviv Artificial Diamond and Diamond Tool Plant’, 5 million 395 thousand UAH from LLC ‘Promin Knitting Factory’, 6 million 245 thousand UAH from LLC ‘Rimarko’ and LLC ‘Duplex-Lviv LTD’, 13 million 794 thousand UAH from LLC PJSC ‘Lviv ZBV No.1’, LLC ‘Ukrtexkolor’, LLC ‘All-Ukrainian Auction Centre for the Sale of Assets and Bankrupt Property’, 3 million 405 thousand UAH from LLC ‘Villa Magnolia’, 366 thousand UAH from the Construction Corporation ‘Karpatbud’, 2 million 387 thousand UAH from LLC ‘Danpharm Pharmacy Warehouse’ and ‘Sota Lyubin’.

Until 2021, the law required developers to pay a contribution towards the development of the city’s infrastructure where construction was taking place. The amount depended on the type of object, and the contribution had to be transferred before the building was put into operation. Some developers did not comply, resulting in significant funds not being received by the city budget. Therefore, the city is turning to the courts to recover the money that should be used for Lviv’s roads, networks, schools, and kindergartens.
