In Lviv, the level of cashless fare payments in public transport has reached 93%. Most people use the LeoKart services, as it offers the cheapest rides and free transfers. Only 7% of transport users purchase a paper ticket from the driver. These details were provided by the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi.
“We want to increase the rate of cashless payments in public transport to 95−97%,” said Andriy Sadovyi. According to him, passengers have already purchased 26,000 transport subscriptions. The subscription is valid on all buses, trams, and trolleybuses and is advantageous for active users.
It is worth noting that the mayor of Lviv met with representatives from various sectors to discuss what has been achieved by 2025 and plans for 2026.
