In Lviv, financial assistance continues to be provided to residents whose homes were damaged as a result of the Russian attack on 30 July 2026. The executive committee of the Lviv City Council has adopted another decision on payments to those affected.
This time, 12 applicants will receive support totalling UAH 407,200. According to the city’s social protection department, this concerns compensation for the cost of 30 damaged windows and one front door.
In total, following the attack on 30 July 2026, the city has already allocated UAH 12.8 million in assistance to residents. Financial support has been provided in response to 422 applications.
In the summer of 2025, Lviv approved an updated Procedure for providing assistance to residents whose homes were damaged by missile strikes or drone attacks. The document provides for payments to those whose houses suffered damage from blast waves, shrapnel or flooding after shelling. Compensation may cover both part of the costs of replacing windows or doors and repairs to flats and roofs in private houses.
An application for such assistance must be submitted no later than six months after the shelling.
At the end of July 2026, Lviv also increased the maximum payment amounts for affected homeowners. It is now possible to receive up to UAH 20,000 for restoring damaged front doors and up to UAH 15,000 for each destroyed window, window unit, block or structure. Previously, the maximum amounts were UAH 8,000 per door and UAH 12,000 per window.
