City demands €3.6 million for contract breach

Due to the failure to meet the contract terms for the construction of the plant, the city has called for the payment of €3.6 million in bank guarantees.

Because of the contractor’s refusal to carry out part of the work and the exclusion of a specific contractor from the site, as well as the non-supply of equipment and incomplete project work, LKP ‘Green City’ has approached the Polish bank-guarantor. The plant was supposed to be completed by October 4, 2025, but the facility is still not ready: the main building is unfinished, infrastructural networks and some of the works have not yet started.

**The Polish company Control Process** claimed delays due to air alerts. However, emergency services reported that their total duration was only two days. “The bank guarantee is unconditional and irrevocable,” explained LKP ‘Green City’.
