Lviv purchased an interactive shooting range for the training of soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine. Video

The city continues to support the National Guard of Ukraine by purchasing the necessary equipment and devices. This helps to effectively train soldiers to perform combat tasks using the most modern technologies.

Now, thanks to the interactive shooting range or the so-called fire training simulator, the military can train in the mode of augmented or virtual reality – quickly, efficiently and safely, individually and in groups, simulating different situations with the use of a wide variety of weapons.

The main advantages of such a device are its mobility and the fact that no cartridges are spent during training. Military personnel can independently create and adjust exercises and simulate a wide variety of situations, mastering new types of weapons.

“In addition to the fact that we should love and care for all residents of our city, the focus is always on each military man and all military units stationed in Lviv. These are our brigades, and the police, and special units, and, of course, the National Guard, because it is on the front lines. In order to speed up victory and save the lives of our fighters, we try to use innovative solutions that will allow us to be as effective as possible on the battlefield. In this year’s budget, we have reserved UAH 500 million to help the military – this is our duty today. We help everyone in whatever way we can, and we will help.

Today we also started a discussion about the need to resume the training of all citizens, because everyone should be able to handle small arms. Now we need to give a new impetus, because everyone should be ready to take up arms and defend our state,” said Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.

In particular, during 2022, the community of Lviv provided active support to the National Guard of Ukraine in the purchase of equipment, in particular drones, tablets, an interactive shooting range, and helped arrange living and training conditions for fighters for a total amount of over UAH 30 million. Thanks to this assistance, the military is able to effectively train soldiers to perform combat tasks using the most modern technologies.

“The soldiers of the National Guard have been performing combat missions in the hottest areas of the front since the first days of the war. With the start of the full-scale invasion, we recruited a large number of conscripts who had no previous military experience. For such fighters, training is even more important than for regular soldiers. We are grateful to the Lviv City Council and the community of the city of Lviv for their help in providing for the needs of our fighters and in promoting the systematic training of fighters.

The situation on the fronts remains difficult, so we have to prepare for a long and exhausting war – we have ambitious plans for 2023 and we, together with the Lviv community and other benefactors, will work on this,” emphasized the head of the Western Territorial Department of the National Guard of Ukraine. Brigadier General Oleksandr Buravkov.

By the way, all military and mobilized people can train in the interactive shooting range.

“The sound effects can be increased or decreased, the so-called ballistics of the weapon has already been worked out in this shooting range, taking into account the trajectory of the bullet. This shooting range can directly work with several types of weapons, and we can train any specialist and military man,” adds Lt. Col. Ivan Zoryk, deputy commander of the 45th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine named after Oleksandr Krasitskyi.
