Lviv Region to Receive Over 52 Million UAH for Housing for IDPs

The Lviv region has received over 52 million UAH in state subsidies for the construction and renovation of housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs). These funds will be allocated to local communities to create a reliable temporary housing fund.

The subsidy can be used for the reconstruction, repair, and construction of temporary accommodation for IDPs, as well as for converting non-residential premises into residential ones.

The main conditions for community participation in the programme include: the properties must be in communal or state ownership, the state covers up to 90% of the cost, and at least 10% must be provided by the local budget. At least 20% of the premises must be accessible to people with disabilities.

Communities must have project and cost documentation and a realistic plan to complete the work by the end of 2026. The housing created will serve as a refuge for IDPs during martial law and for at least three years after its conclusion.

Communities have 30 calendar days to submit applications, starting from 6 March. For additional consultations, please contact the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
