Lviv region hands over 60 attack drones manufactured with co-financing from the regional budget

Військовим передали понад 60 ударних безпілотників, виготовлених на умовах співфінансування з обласного бюджету

UAH 300,000 was allocated for the production of these UAVs as part of the Competitiveness Improvement Programme.

As a result of cooperation between the Lviv Regional Military Command, philanthropists and a manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles, our defenders received another batch of 63 FPV drones, which were manufactured with financial support from the regional budget.

The warbirds have different equipment and are capable of carrying from 1.5 to 3 kilograms of payload to the desired location, and their flight range is up to 15 kilometres. All drones are also equipped with night cameras. The advantage of such UAVs is the ability to save the life of the operator, while inflicting significant losses of equipment and personnel on the enemy.

The drones will be delivered to the soldiers of the 67th separate mechanised brigade, the 101st and 125th brigades of the Territorial Defence Forces and the National Guard. The drones were manufactured in Lviv region at the request of the Vector of Hope International Charitable Foundation, which asked UOP to support the production process.

The cost of all 63 drones is UAH 1 million 344 thousand, of which UAH 300 thousand is from the regional budget. This amount was allocated as part of the Competitiveness Improvement Programme. One of its objectives is to support volunteer organisations and manufacturing enterprises in the region to manufacture and purchase military equipment for the needs of our defenders.

Under the programme, the regional budget provides financial support to enterprises on a non-refundable basis in the amount of 50% of the total amount (from UAH 100,000 to 300,000) required to produce goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If the total cost of the goods exceeds UAH 600,000, the remaining balance is paid by volunteer organisations.

“Our programme allows us to support volunteer initiatives aimed at strengthening our military. This year, UAH 9 million 900 thousand have been allocated from the regional budget for this purpose. As of today, 18 manufacturing companies and 22 volunteer organisations have been accredited, and we will continue to provide additional funding. We believe in our Armed Forces and will support them in every way possible,” said Andriy Godyk, First Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
