
The Commission on Ecology, Natural Resources and Recreation supported the initiative to create two new objects of the nature reserve fund in the Lviv region.
“Terraces of the Stryi River” is a territory of the Stryi community covering an area of 6 hectares. It is being preserved to protect the valuable natural landscape complex, including rare species of plants and animals listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.
“Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Park” is located in the town of Bryukhovychi of the Lviv community, with an area of 15.7 hectares. It is being preserved to protect landscape compositions and safeguard valuable ancient trees.
The decision to declare these objects as part of the nature reserve fund is to be made by the Lviv Regional Council.
