Today (21 February) we have set our own new record within the Birds of Victory charity project,” said Maksym Kozytskyi, head of LOVA.
“Together with our partners and the initiative’s team, we are sending our fighters to the frontline: 669 FPV drones, 20 DJI MAVIC 3 Pro and 2 anti-drone guns. They will be distributed among military brigades, units of the Armed Forces, theater of operations and border guard detachments.
We are pleased that this figure is a record for the number of devices purchased at one time.
The bulk of the money for the drones was raised at two charity auctions. One of them was held in Mostyska, co-organised by Mostyska, Shehynivska and Sudovovyshnyanska communities with the support of local volunteers and businesses.
Zhovkva and Rava-Ruska communities joined the second auction, also joining forces with business representatives.
A significant contribution was made by Ukrainians who now live in the Czech Republic. They donated 235 FPV drones and 18 MAVICs.
I thank everyone for their participation: communities and their leaders, business representatives, volunteers, people of goodwill, and regular partners of the initiative, including Lvivoblenergo. I am grateful to all those who fight and those who donate.
In particular, to the founders of the project and everyone who rallies around it.
As of today, we have already purchased 4,567 drones.
We hope that by the end of March, the number will increase to five thousand! This will be a significant contribution to our victory!
Glory to Ukraine!
