Lviv Community: New Changes for Road Safety

In the Lviv Community, changes will be implemented on several streets to enhance road safety. This decision was supported by the city’s road safety commission during a meeting held on 12 March.

One of the key measures will be maintaining the one-way traffic on Lutskoho Street, which was introduced during the reconstruction of Zaliznychna Street. This organisational decision has already proven to be positive.

At the intersection of Odeska and Holubovycha streets, a raised pedestrian crossing will be installed to reduce vehicle speeds and improve road-crossing safety for pedestrians. This measure is planned to be completed by 10 June.

The initiative to prohibit parking and install appropriate road signs at 240 Zamarsynivska Street has also been supported, which will improve visibility for residents of the housing complex and ensure safe exits.

The ‘Kotyka’ public transport stop on Lychakivska Street will be moved further beyond the intersection, allowing for increased traffic capacity and reduced travel times to the city centre.

Additionally, in the village of Riasne-Ruske, parking will be prohibited on part of Tsentralny Passage to clear the road and improve road safety. These changes are planned to be completed by May.
