The Commission on Engineering, Housing and Communal Services, Infrastructure, and Fuel and Energy Complex reviewed public appeals regarding road repairs.
“We have received numerous appeals from residents of various communities in the region regarding the poor condition of roads that hold priority social importance. To address these issues promptly, the commission, along with the Department of Road Management of the Lviv Regional State Administration, will work towards fully utilizing the capabilities of regional and local budgets for their repair”, stated the deputy head of the commission, Taras Podvirny.
The deputies supported the revised draft of the Lviv Region Development Strategy for 2021-2027. “It is pleasing that this document incorporates most of our commission’s proposals. About 80% of the Action Plan for Strategy Implementation pertains specifically to our areas of activity: road management, logistics, fuel and energy complex, renewable energy, and solid waste management. At the upcoming session, we will also propose a number of additional measures aimed at strengthening the economic and infrastructural capacity of Lviv region”, emphasized Taras Podvirny.
The commission will prepare proposals for amending the Territorial Planning Scheme of the Lviv Region, which is planned for 25 years. “It is important for us that there is a real synergy between territorial communities and the regional level in terms of territorial development. This will allow for the consideration of current challenges and needs, particularly those arising due to the war, and lay a solid foundation for rebuilding and developing the region in the long term”, concluded Taras Podvirny.
