Lviv Regional Council Approves Strategy Until 2027

The Lviv Regional Council has approved the updated Development Strategy of the region until 2027.

Today, February 3, the deputies of the Lviv Regional Council supported the updated Development Strategy of the Lviv region for 2021–2027 and the Action Plan for its implementation for 2025–2027. The main priority is people: security, quality medicine and education, preservation of human capital, support for the Armed Forces, business development, and investment attraction.

As emphasized by Acting Head of the Lviv Regional Council, Yuriy Kholod, the Strategy takes into account the challenges of war and the needs of the social sphere, as well as the opportunities of European integration. The updated document defines three strategic goals: security and preservation of demographic potential, increase of the region’s competitiveness in the context of European integration, environmental protection, and green transition.

Within the Action Plan for 2025–2027, 114 project ideas are envisaged with a budget of over 134 billion UAH. The regional council also instructed to supplement the Strategy with a new goal — “Energy Resilience,” and to begin preparing the Development Strategy of the region for the period after 2028.
