On March 12, Lviv Municipal Enterprise ‘Green City’ signed an agreement with the Lithuanian company ‘Hydroterra’ to supervise the second phase of the reclamation of the Grybovychi landfill. The company is to ensure compliance with all stages according to European standards in construction, environmental, and engineering aspects.
The director of Lviv Municipal Enterprise ‘Green City’, Oleksandr Yehorov, noted that Lithuanian specialists would oversee the technical aspects of the project, material approvals, and reporting to the European Investment Bank.
- Installation of drainage cover on the dome and slopes;
- Soil covering for the planting of perennial grasses;
- Greening of adjacent lands.
This phase is expected to conclude this year following the successful completion of the first phase, which lasted four years and included waste relocation, pipe laying, and landfill degassing.
