More than half a thousand economic entities provided work for 1,368 internally displaced persons.
As of November 25, 527 business entities in the Lviv Oblast have taken advantage of the government initiative, which provides for the payment of compensation to employers for the labor costs of forcibly displaced persons hired. They provided work for 1,368 people who moved from the temporarily occupied territory or areas of active hostilities.
According to Vasyl Barylyuk, director of the Lviv Regional Employment Center, employers in Lviv, Chervonograd, Drohobych, Stryi, Kamianka-Buzkoya, Brodyv, Pustomyt and Sokal were the most active in employing immigrants.
According to the branch, mainly the packages of documents for receiving labor costs were submitted by enterprises of the processing industry (production), establishments of wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, food organizations, as well as institutions engaged in activities in the field of administrative and auxiliary services, health care agriculture, construction, etc.
The Lviv region has been financed in the amount of UAH 16.5 million to pay compensation for labor costs of displaced people. Of these, UAH 16.2 million have already been deposited into the accounts of firms and companies where forcibly displaced persons work.
Within 9 months from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, 4,275 IDPs used the services of the regional employment service for the purpose of employment. Every fourth of them (1,041 persons) managed to secure a place of work. As of today, 932 migrants are looking for work in Lviv region, including 715 unemployed.
