Today, a Czech delegation headed by MEP Michaela Shoidrova visited Lviv. At the meeting with Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadov, they discussed the possibilities of cooperation with the Czech Republic and the European Union and assistance in adapting Ukrainian legislation to European legislation.
“Lviv has done a lot for internally displaced people and is currently building an important project for war victims. I can assure you that the European Union and the Czech Republic will help you. In particular, you could become partners with one of the Czech cities, for example, with Brno.
An important task for me personally is to help Ukraine on its way to joining the EU. We could help you build the legal system that exists in the European Union,” Mihaela Shoidrova stressed.
Also, during the meeting, the mayor of Lviv presented the NEZLAMNI humanitarian project to the delegation, talked about the current situation in our city and the plans the city is working on.
“It is a great honor for us that you are in Lviv today. I am sure that when you are in Brussels, you will tell everyone about the UNBREAKABLE project, which is very necessary to create. We currently have no partners in the Czech Republic, so we are very happy that new international connections can be established from our meeting today.
In 2025, Lviv will be the Youth Capital of Europe. And in fact, in this way, Lviv is already approaching the European Union. We will open a Partnership and Cooperation Office in our city. Our goal is to delve into European legislation today and adapt it for Ukrainian realities in local self-government. Here, your support would be very important to us,” said Andriy Sadovy.
We would like to remind you that Lviv should develop closer cooperation with European cities. In particular, it is about the implementation of the best European practices in the fields of medicine, economy, science, innovation, and green technologies in Lviv. This direction will be coordinated by the Office of Partnership and Cooperation, which is being created on the basis of the Lviv Conference Bureau.
