Residents from Soborna Square in Lviv Return Home

In Lviv, some residents of the building at 3 Soborna Square, damaged by shelling, will be able to return to their homes. Municipal services are actively working on restoring the infrastructure. As reported by the head of the Halytskyi District Administration, Halyna Hladiak, water and electricity supply have already been restored in the second entrance, and work is currently underway to restore the gas supply.

Once these works are completed, residents of seven flats will be able to return home. Meanwhile, the dismantling of fire remnants is ongoing, and a temporary roof is planned to protect the building from further damage.

Residents of the first entrance, which suffered the most damage, have been granted access to retrieve valuable items. Technical assessments regarding the condition of the building, which is a national architectural monument, are awaited. The city has provided temporary housing for 12 people from five flats.

The Lviv City Council is providing compensation for damaged elements of the buildings, including broken windows and doors, as well as for the rental of temporary housing. To receive compensation, residents need to submit the relevant documents to the CNAP.
